Fare Structure

Veterans may ride our Deviated Route Buses in each city at no charge! Simply show the driver your military ID.

Demand Response (within city limits) $2.50 (11 tokens for $25)
Demand Response (county-wide) $3.00 (11 tokens for $30)
Deviated Route $2.00 (11 tokens for $20)
Student (age 6 to 17) $1
Child (age 5 and under) Free (with paid adult)
*Unlimited 1 month Route Pass $35
*Unlimited 1 month Route Pass for Senior Citizens (age 55 and up)/Student (age 6-17) $30

Deviated Route Passes may be purchased at half price on the 15th of each month or later.

On Weekends Only: PASSENGERS WITH AN UNLIMITED MONTHLY ROUTE PASS MAY RIDE A DEMAND RESPONSE BUS -in cities that do not have weekend route service - FOR AN ADDITIONAL $.50 (50 CENTS) WHEN THEY SHOW THEIR DEVIATED ROUTE PASS.

Austin - Albert Lea Shuttle Service $4 (5 & under free with a paid adult)

Purchase Tokens/Passes at:

  • Albert Lea - On the Bus, Hy-Vee, and the Albert Lea Transit Office at 905 East 16th Street in Albert Lea (by appointment)
  • Austin - On the Bus and at the Austin Transit Office at 2803 Oakland Avenue West in Austin
  • Owatonna - On the Bus, at Cash Wise, Hy-Vee, Transit Office (by appointment) and the Steele County Auditor's Office
  • Waseca - On the Bus or at the Transit Office at 1300 South State St (by appointment)


 

 

*Unlimited monthly deviated route passes available on the bus and at the Transit Offices and at the Steele County Auditor's Office in Steele County.

 

 

SCHEDULES

HOLIDAYS WITH NO SERVICE: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday following Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Additional reduced service may precede or follow holidays. Announcements will be posted on the buses and on Facebook.

Austin to Albert Lea Hospital Shuttle

Service in-between Austin and Albert Lea Monday through Friday at select times.

$4.00 per person, per trip (children 5 and under ride free with a paid adult)

Reservations requested, but not required.

(Not for emergency transportation.)
